Physical Fitness Requirements for Chicago Police Officers?

What requirements must I fulfill when it comes to physical fitness if I'm planning on becoming a police officer in Chicago, IL? I already have information on this, but I would like some more feedback. Thank you!Physical Fitness Requirements for Chicago Police Officers? As far as getting hired and getting a $200 a year bonus you have to pass a "power test".

The same one used by the Illinois State Police and a number of other departments.

Once in the academy (Chicago calls their's the Training Center)you have to pass a number of other tests and fulfill other requirements.

They give you plenty of training for those.

To prepare for the in academy stuff for most females you need to up your upper body strength.

This includes pull ups and push ups.

There is a 6' wall int eh academy with no toe holds. You basically have to jump up, grasp the top and pull yourself over.

That is about the hardest thing.

For the power test go to this site.
