Hey im thinking about ordering P90X but I was curious what are the fitness requirments and can I do it? Im Male 5'9 212 pounds, I tried pullups but can only do 6. Am i healthy enouph to do this. I dont expect to be ripped by day 90 but I plan on doing it all winter so hopfully by next summer. What are the fitness requirements for p90X?Get it and take the fit test. If you can do any pull-ups you should be just fine. Anyone can do P90X with a little willpower and determination. Just remember Bring It!! I was bad out of shape when I began and now I'm in the best shape of my life. Order it here direct from Beachbody and you'll get two extra DVD workouts not available anywhere else!
http://teambeachbody.com/shop/-/shopping鈥?/a>What are the fitness requirements for p90X?There aren't any real requirements. Tony, the host/creator, always says "bring it" and to do your best. I don't think even the most fit of people are going to be able to do the entire hour long DVD (any of them, lol) without thinking they were going to die.
I wouldn't recommend it if you were 300 pounds and had no stamina, but if you're relatively fit, go for it.
(I can't do a single pull up, but there are modifications for many of the exercises, including pull ups, so you can still do the workout.)What are the fitness requirements for p90X?Well good on you for at least thinking about it; next step is to order it and do it.
Think of it this way, if you are currently not doing anything and start doing P90X, you are doing your body a good thing.
When I started, January 2010, I could not finish the Plyometric workout, I would have thrown up if I kept going. But I stuck at it and I am now lasting the whole routine and sometimes outperforming the guys on the videos. I was quite unfit when I started and now, I am as fit as I have been for 10-12 years.
I could only do 4 pull ups and I hurt my arm, I now do 16 quite easily.
Push ups, I could only 10, I now do 30 easily (or 200 total each workout).
I am almost finished my second round of P90X and am about to start Insanity.
Do it %26amp; stick with it! You will not regret it.
Try to set a goal for the rest of the year, a reverse new years resolution. Instead of the usual new years resolution starting in Jan, achieve your goal before new years! What are the fitness requirements for p90X?
I'm sure you can do it, if not, then the warm-up will be a good exercise. I'm in average/below shape and I can do 10 minutes of half the workouts back to back.
