For the basic enlisted personnel, the USMC has the most stringent standards. I have been there. However, when it comes to specializing in something, you get into more detail. IE Navy Seals, their training is harder than USMC basic, but then again you have Army Ranger training which is probably equally as hard, and Marine Recon training, which is most likely quite as challenging. But when it comes down to the basics, the Marine Corps has the highest standard for a basic enlisteeWhich military branch has the toughest physical fitness standards?Depends on what you're good/not good at.
It's gonna be a tossup between the Army and the Marines
Fanboys are going to say the Marines just because they're fanboys and like to put the marine corps on some kind of pedastal. I'm gonna post the FACTS
Army MIN standard for an 18yo male: 42 pushups and 53 situps in 2min. 15:45 2mile run
Marine MIN standard for an 18yo male: 3 pullups or chinups(your choice. unlimited time), 50 crunches(2 min), 28 minute 3 mile run
The Marines crunches are easier than Army situps
The Marines are given basically 12 minutes to run 1 more mile... you can WALK that.
But I do know people who can do 42 pushups but cant do 1 pullup. And i know people who can do pullups, but can barely do 50 pushups.
Also check the height/weight standards for each branch. The Marines allow their members to weigh more than their Army counterpart.
In the United States, the Marine Corp has the toughest standards. They have the longest run required, which is 1.5 miles in 13 minutes to get into boot camp and 3 miles in 28 minutes to graduate as a Marine. They also are the only branch that requires pull ups.Which military branch has the toughest physical fitness standards?Generally Marine Corps but when you get into special forces delta, SEALS, ect... it gets harderWhich military branch has the toughest physical fitness standards?
I believe Marines.
