Does weight training alone help your overall fitness?

I know it has all these benefits but does it alone make you fitter..it gives you the look of being fit but im guessing you would need cardio and calisthenics like pullups, pushups, and burpees for real strength and overall fitness.Does weight training alone help your overall fitness?Weight training is what makes you look more fit, nutrition is basically a weight loss tool. If you want real strength then yes push ups etc will get you there but you will also need to lift weights, even if it's only 10lb dumbells.Does weight training alone help your overall fitness?There may be some side effects of weight training. So consult any YOGA in structure and work under his guidelines to get maximum benefit without any side effect .
