A question about fitness standards mentally and physically in police work?

Do you believe that women who pass all the same physical and mental standards and tests are much more likely to be more effective police officers in the field, and possess the running speed, fighting skill, as well as courage and indignation to defeat and arrest criminals and catch them than those who only pass through double or female standards? I think so definitely. I think only the best, the strongest, and the most intelligent of men and women should be allowed to be cops. Simply put, only the qualified should get the job, and not through quotas or the double standard.A question about fitness standards mentally and physically in police work? There is no double standard in my state. Males and females do the exact same tests.

Speed and strength are certainly things to consider. However, common sense, decision making ability, and communication skills will prevent you from needing to be fast or strong almost all the time.

Keep in mind statistics show 98% of police contacts involve no use of force at all. Because these contacts are uneventful, you never see them publicized. You only see the 2% because the public finds them newsworthy.
