I Would love to become a human recourses officer or a mental health nurse. The other day i read on some website that every army recruit goes through the same fitness training as somebody who actually goes in combat. I Thought this was strange becouse A mental health nurse or a HR officer dosent go into combat, So why does every army recruit need to do it?Does every british army recruit have to go through basic fitness training?Yes your a soldier first and a nurse second. If your were deployed and your base was attacked (very unlikely against the Taliban but of course possible in future wars) you would be expected to pick up your rifle and start shooting. + it looks better. Imagine if all the non combat personal were all obese sloths it would be a nightmare lol. It's just so you wont be a liability is anything does happen, say for whatever reason your jeep broke down in the middle of the desert and u had to walk back to base, it wouldn't be fair if the infantry soldiers had to carry u cause you were too unfit. But don't worry basic training is really easy as long as u prepare before hand and even if you don't they'll sort you out by the end of it. Anyway good luck!Does every british army recruit have to go through basic fitness training?Yes you do have to..as a member of the army you can be called into a war zone at any time (you don't know where they may need you even if you think your an office worker) you need to have a basic level of training just in case.Does every british army recruit have to go through basic fitness training? You are trained first as a soldier regardless of what profession you choose,
because it the S*** hits the fan you take a gun and fight like the rest of the military.
Even military cooks do it and learn how to shoot.Does every british army recruit have to go through basic fitness training?
You go through basic training that has about 4.6% dropout rate.
