Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem?

Under Mourinho they were probably the fittest squad but now they're all tired after like 70 minutes. Will Hiddink improve their fitness? Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem?Hiddink will certainly get the players fit as fiddles. I'm Australian and when he took charge of our national team I remember reading that the players were so knackered after each training season. He will bring much more than that though. I'm a Liverpool fan and had stopped worrying about Chelsea due to their slide but now that Hiddink is in charge I wouldn't rule Chelsea out of any competition they are still in contention for.Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem?
You need Tony Colbert....look at Arsenal this season they keep going to the last and always get last minute goals...

Hiddink is a great coach(well so was Scolari) im sure hes going to find out what Chelseas weakness has been and try and fix it...but it could be too late already

Or its because Cashley is tired from vibrating his phone all night...Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem? The players complained that Scolari's training regime was not rigorous enough, so we shall see.
yea. for example, korea in 2002 would never have got to semis without their superior fitness. same with aussies and russians (not really sure about russians but who cares...) anyway he will train them like hell but it is for their own good. fitness is the key to any sport (apart from pingpong or badminton or chess if it counts) and hiddink will do accordingly. Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem?Well, they got water aerobics at 4,before a nice light dinner of cottage cheese and cauliflower. They're the fittest bunch of senior citizens I've ever seen,LOL.Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem?
Ye could be, but i think that the problem was that they had an aging squad and not enough width in there squad.

I mean come on most of there midfeild was 30+ except Essien but he injured, and they dint have any width they had Joe Cole that about it, but the got Quaresma(sp?) now so things are looking up. I just hope they finish above Liverpool =P
Under Mourinho Chelsea had a young club so there would be more fitter players. Now their players are a little over aged they will be less fitter. Is the fitness of the Chelsea squad the problem?
Yea, he emphasizes a lot on fitness. But I feel its more than that.

Problems with Chelsea:

- They lack a playmaker, like Robinho, which makes it hard to go around the defence.

- The team who played for scolari don't have any team chemistry. They all seem to be out of place, out of form.

- Most players at Chelsea play for themselves. When the going gets tough, Scolari gets blamed to cover up for their lacklustre and crap performances.

But there are 2 players I really admire now, which are Frank Lampard and John Terry. They stood up for their manager in times like these. They know whats wrong and whats right.

- Foreign players. Nothing wrong with them, Arsenal's full of them. But when these morons start playing for themselves, and blame the Coach, this pisses me off.

- Lack of ability to play wide. Chelsea is having this problem right now, with which really limits their attacking capability.

- Firing managers for nothing. This is utterly dumb. You guys got Jose, he won you guys 2 EPL titles and you sack him. Grant, sure he's boring but you guys got second in the EPL and got into CL finals for the first time. Now Scolari, sure you guys got **** results recently but Arsenal's having it too, but you don't see Wenger getting sacked didn't you? Now Guus Hiddink, you guys are impossible.

- And fitness. don't need any explaining.
there athletes for god knows how many years, they play every week, there fitness should still be the same or els work extra hard in training.

chelsea tryed to play football, they must of found that tiring then just went back to the liverpool style :)
