I've heard a lot about trapmpolining. Is it really good for your fitness? Can it really help me lose weight? I'm currently eating 1200 calories a day and do some toning exercises + yoga, but want to get fitter too. Can anyone tell me for how long each day I would have to trampoline for it to have a significant effect? Or even better, how long it would take for me to burn 100 or 200 calories?
(I'm 17, 5"2 and currently 115lbs)How beneficial is trampolining for fitness?Impossible to answer because your level of effort, and thus fuel required (food/fuel/calories are just different ways of saying the same thing), can vary so much on a trampoline.
If you really wanted to know, get a heart rate monitor with an AVERAGE function. Wear it on the trampoline for an hour and record the average heartrate.
Then go out and walk/jog for an hour trying to maintain the same average heartrate. Record the number of miles you travel in that hour at that heartrate. Multiply miles by 100 calories per mile. That will be reasonably close to the calories burned in either activity.
Why heartrate? You muscles require oxygen to burn fuel/food/calories. Your cardiovascular system delivers the oxygen.
Higher heartrate = more oxygen delivered = more fuel burned. How beneficial is trampolining for fitness?it has its ups and downs
