I'm 13 and want to get fitter for the future. I'm quite skinny so I'm eating more carbohydrates and veg, but I also want to look into getting more muscle. So whats a good size KG fitness weight to start of with my age?Whats a good fitness weight to start with?First of all to gain weight you dont need to eat carbs that much, what you need is a balanced diet that includes your veggies and protein but not so much carbs. Carbs helps with energy, but you need protein in order to build muscle. (Muscle is leaner and heavier than fat) Foods like eggs, beans, meat, nuts, etc. You are young and you need to worry about staying clear of foods like too much dairy, processed foods, and junk food. You also need to state how tall you are in order to know what weight you need to aim for. Go get a physical from your doctor so that you know where you are at and what you can do in order to help yourself stay healthy, or if you may have a few things you need to take care of first.Whats a good fitness weight to start with?Uhmm, it depends on the exercise.. And well how strong you are now..
Here's what you should do, Pick a weight where you can only complete 10-12 reps at the most for whichever muscle you workout. Its very effective when you go until failure, which means working out the muscle until you can't complete another rep. That'll help pack on the muscle, and you could pick up some weight gainer at a health store like Gnc or something. But since your only 13, there's going to be a limit on how big you can get right now, regardless keep at it. Happy workout.
Age is an iffy factor, I was 14-15 and was benching upwards of 180-200 so age wasen''t a factor for me. It all depends on your body.
