To gain body strength, resistance and fitness?After a fitness regime, should one recuperate from the muscle aches before continuing on? Or press on?That depends on what you mean by "muscle aches". If you are having real "aches", then you should wait. A while back I was starting up a fitness routine after a long (way too long) hiatus, and I pushed through the pain and ended up straining my upper back and needed a muscle-relaxer medication to deal with it. And then (after recuperating), starting back up slowly, I was able to get that "burn" feeling of muscle growth without the real "pain" of damaging the muscle. But I would definitely say this: when in doubt, wait a bit. Then continue, but be mindful of that body part that was aching before. And if the muscles feel "good-sore", that's great. If there's real pain, then something is wrong.
