I'm very early in my pregnancy. I'm in the military and have to do a fitness test this weekand which consists of situps, pushups, and a 2 mile run. Is it safe to partake in the fitness test while being pregnant? Is it ok to run for a fitness test while your pregnant? If you have been physically active all along and excercise frequently (as in...you were working out a lot before pregnancy) and your DR says its ok you should be fine.
I've heard it's bad if you suddenly do a lot of exercise when you really haven't done it before.
You should be fine...but check with your DR first!
Good luck!Is it ok to run for a fitness test while your pregnant?
How far along are you? What does your ob/gyn say? I would consult with your doctor first. Is it ok to run for a fitness test while your pregnant? You should always ask your doctor about doing any physcial activity
Hope that helps
Being that you are in the military I would think that you are already in at least decent shape. That said I would not think that should be a problem. Women are able to work out into their third tri-mester. I am no Dr. though. Is it ok to run for a fitness test while your pregnant? It's not bad for you to pt, I am in the military as well, but the Navy if you are pregnant you are excluded from the fitness tests up until 6 months after you have your baby. So I would see if they still are going to require you to do it.Is it ok to run for a fitness test while your pregnant?
Do they know that you are pregnant? I don't think it would hurt. You are already active. I played basketball and was very active up until I went into labor. I also had easy births from being active. Good luck
it is ok if you're used to it however, i'm in th military and they don't make you take the test when you are pregnant even if you don't have a note yet. i know from personal experienceIs it ok to run for a fitness test while your pregnant?
Check with the doc first. While it SHOULD be ok, just check first. My friend was in the army, 6 weeks pregnant and did a fitness test. She miscarried and passed out on the run. Better safe than sorry.
